The Forest Is Alive

The animals of the forest have been running wild in full effect recently.  Sometimes it appears to be more entertaining to just sit and watch the animals play rather than actually ride the trails or build.   This is just a small amount of the wildlife that resides in our forest.  Some of the other critters and creatures are quite hard or impossible to photograph, but we will keep trying.

Below the Pileated Woodpecker is at it again digging for insects.

These Red Squirells do some nasty stuff all day long this time of year.

We have spiders all over the place in the woods. They especially like to hide under the tarps and jumps with logs. Yikes!

Lovely seeing the pileated woodpecker. I’ve never seen one in person. As for the squirrels, at least they were doing it on the ground and not hanging off a tree with only the female supporting their weight. But maybe only gray squirrels are so crazy.
