Winter Solstice

Winter has officially arrived today. With it the shortest daylight of the year. We have been snow covered for a month and winter is just getting going. Snow will be falling on us for the next three months so the trail blog will sleep as the bears sleep. April we will awaken the beast, and trail photos will florish once more. Winter action will be limited to roasten snowmobiles and maybe burning some brush. We will keep the site pretty minimal so not to be an advertising billboard repeating other blogs info like some websites that do that. We will just do our thing. Durring this slow winter blog update season make sure to look through the archives to view all the sick pics we posted this year.

Rye Airfield BMX Contest

Rye Airfield is hosting their 2cd WICKED JAM AM/PRO Contest Dec. 5th and 6th. This is going to be such a good event this weekend, Johnny is even going, and it takes quite alot to drag him away from the trails, no matter what the weather is.  The Pro finals are schedualed for 3PM Sunday Dec. 6th. For more details go to http://www.ryeairfield.com. See everyone there.

Sabbaday Falls

Sabbaday Falls is a more popular venue as it is located just off of the scenic Kangamangus Highway and is easy to hike a short distance on a graded dirt road.  Here Johnny’s cousin Ashley chills near the top pool.

Kendron Falls

Kendron Falls is a series of small unique waterfalls and cascades. Nothing real big but we still loved to explore them.  Kendron Falls is located in Crawford Notch.

Ripley Falls

Ripley Falls is also located in Crawford Notch only a few miles from Arethusa Falls. Another amazing waterfall.  Two smaller unnamed waterfalls are located upstream of Ripley Falls.  They are both also quite nice waterfalls to visit.

Coliseum Falls

Coliseum Falls is located just downstream of Arethusa Falls, and is a nice bonus when hiking up to Arethusa.
